September 2010

Ever since moving to my grandfather’s house, I’ve fallen in love with Erskine Beach. I go there to take Doggy Dog walks with my mom, he loves running around there like a headless chicken. The area is popular with dog owners, always seems to be busy & has a great view while walking all the way from the entrance to where Mar Hall is.

I went the other week when it was extremely sunny (& had my crappy foot in a bandage!), I couldn’t do my usual walking around with Doggy Dog, so I sat down & just let him run around with my brother, sister in law & their dog (Devil Dog).

The view was amazing just sitting there & this is the result <3

Poor little Doggy Dog is spending his first night away from the family in the Vets under observation.

He hasn’t been so well for the past few days & we took him to the vets (or doggy doctors as I like to call it!) after he vomited several times. He was given injections, meds & a thermometer up his butt to test if he had a fever. He seemed a little better later in the afternoon but then vomited again later at night.

This morning he ended up vomiting blood & my parents were up with him since around 6am making sure he was okay. He was then taken to the vets where they put him on a drip to hydrate him, gave him more meds & wanted to keep him in for a few hours to see if he got any better. I then called my mom later in the evening to see if they let him out yet… but no.

Doggy Dog is being kept overnight in the vets for observation.

I really hope the ickle termite will be okay, I hate seeing him ill even though he was born with a liver problem (which is all part of the issues he’s having at the moment).

*hugs doggy dog tight*

Cher Lloyd performed Keri Hilson’s version of Soulja Boy’s Turn My Swag On last night & was ultra amazing! I now want her to win to entire competition after her performance! I can’t believe she’s only 16!

When getting judges comments, Cheryl Cole said “You are right up my street. You are actually my favourite audition so far.” She was put through straight to Boot Camp after all the judges said Yes (even Simon Cowell loved her to bits).

According to several news reports straight after her performance, she said “I want to be the female equivalent of Dappy in N-Dubz. I can sing as well as rap, but I’d love to become a world-famous rapper, so that’s what I hope to achieve from the show.”

Can’t wait to see what she performs next. I really hope they don’t turn her all Britney Pop Star!

No one is perfect, we all have bad habits that will probably piss the hell outta other people and those who says they don’t have any bad habits are liars LOL (which is a bad habit in itself!)!

I bite my nails, my jaw clicks when I eat & my phone is always glued to my hand LOL

Now the jaw I can’t really do anything about because it’s the way my mouth is aligned after wearing retainers as a kid (I had funky frog, zebra & rainbow ones which I lost on a school trip to Phuket when I was 12 LOL), it annoys the hell outta my mom when I eat something I have to chew a lot as the clicking noise gets worse, it’s funny watching her face squirm when it clicks though, but talking of bad habits, her’s is biting her nails as hell but when she does it there is this weird sound which sends shivers down my spine & always shout at her to stop hahahaha

My nails I’m trying so hard to stop. I’ve been biting my nails for like 20 years so it’s a hard habit to break but I’m slowly doing it! A few years ago I got acrylic nails as I wanted long nails for a while, when they are on I look after them, I never bite them & actually loved how my hands looked with longer nails. Let’s face is, short stumpy jaggy nails ain’t hot!

However, once any of the acrylic nails fell off, I saw my own natural nails & ended up chewing them to pieces, usually if they start breaking as they are weak. It’s a never ending cycle! Acrylic Nails, chewing own nails again, Acrylic Nails…..

But it’s now been 2 months since I’ve bit my nails. I got Acrylic Nails for my friends wedding in Ireland, removed them a few weeks later & started using this Sally Hansen Miracle Growth & Strengthener on them, ever since they’ve been sprouting & got to a stage where to me, they were really long.

The only problem is, because they’ve been so short for so long, my own nails are very weak and break easily, but instead of biting them like I usually did when this happened, I’ve been using nail clippers to try save the length of my nails & then putting nail varnish on at all opportunities so they’d look too cute to eat LOL

I desperately need a manicure & luckily for me, I won a competition on Twitter from a Nail Salon which allows me to choose any treatment I want on their menu so I’m going to wait until my broken nails I had to cut a little shorter have grown a bit more then get them to work on my fingers.

I really hope I’ve finally broken the habit of a lifetime. I haven’t looked at my nails as of yet thinking “ooh tasty” so that’s a good sign *touches wood* I so don’t want to go back to tiny yucky nails!

& as for my phone? pffft! I love it!

So what are your bad habits or do you not have any 😉

Everyone who knows me or has followed my blog for the 7 years it’s now been around (eek!) will know that in my heart, I’m a Hip-Hop & RnB girl. I love it, even if my family & friends don’t LOL

However, the past few months, my musical taste has expanded a little more & I’m now listening to more Rocky music. It’s a refreshing change & there are a few groups/people that stuck out for me. I now can’t get enough of these guys and pretty much have them on repeat on my iPod.

Check my latest favourite songs out & if you have other artists you think I may like, please lemme know 😀

The Script – For The First Time

The Pretty Reckless – Make Me Wanna Die

Brandon Flowers- Crossfire

James Morrison – Get To You

This week I’ve been falling apart bit by bit. It all started on Sunday as I was heading to work, I got on the bus at the right time but then I got really bad stomach cramps & felt really dizzy like I was gonna pass out so I got off the bus at the next stop. I then proceeded to vomit like crazy then I felt a bit better, I then walked back heading towards where I got on the bus & again… vomited. I stopped in at the only shop open (the Butcher’s) to use their bathroom and once again, vomited but this time diarrhoea as well. I felt awful but I knew I still had to go to work as they were short staffed (I later found out that it was only going to be 1 other guy & me on until late afternoon).

So there I was, feeling like crap. I went back to the bus stop & called work saying I was going to be late cause I was sick & had to get off the bus. I waited for a while before…. yeah you guessed it… vomited again! This time not so prettily got it on myself so had to walk home to get changed. As I was walking home my stomach was killing me, getting tight & I felt like I was going to pass out. I got changed & headed out again… only to vomit all the way there!

In the end I had to call work & say I wasn’t going to be in as I felt like crap but I tried to make it in. I ended up sleeping for most of the day with a hot water bottle, a towel & a bucket by my side which came in handy as I was vomiting non-stop on & off for 3 days!

Then Monday night came along… I got up from the sofa where I was feeling sorry for myself to get some water & disaster struck. I got pins & needles all down my left leg, fell down on the ground, heard a crack on my left foot as I fell on my bum & my ankle twisted. I was screaming in pain from it hurting so much & basically sat on the floor for 5/10 mins hoping I was able to stand up & didn’t break anything. I managed to hop to the kitchen to get an ice pack & from past experience with my mom (who always seems to hurt her ankle/foot!) I knew I had to raise my foot up a bit. After an hour I still couldn’t move my toes or wiggle them, my foot became extremely swollen so I called my Mom in Paris for advice then my Brother. I ended up having to call the NHS 24 helpline to tell them what happened, they were asking me all sorts of questions then said they wanted me to go to Hospital for X-Rays.

So there I was 11pm on a Monday night heading to the Emergency Room at the local Hospital. The plus side was because I called NHS 24, I didn’t have to wait for hours, I was seen after 15 mins, the first doctor took notes of what happened & felt my leg. ankle and foot asking where it hurt. Needless to say as he was putting pressure on the sore bits, I was screaming like a baby!

I was then put in the wheelchair & my brother pushed me round to the X-Ray Department. My brother thought it would be funny to pretend he was a Formula 1 driver with me in the wheelchair & I kept shouting at him to slow down LOL. I was told that there will be a long wait for X-Rays because they were busy tonight but when I got round there, I was seen straight away. The Radiographer was HOT (my sister in law agreed!) and when he asked for my paperwork from the ER department, he joked that it said I was fighting a group of 5 ninja’s, did some cartwheeling & subcomed to my injuries which made me laugh LOL

Luckily, I didn’t break any bones or tear a ligament but instead suffered a really bad sprain which I was to rest, use ice packs, keep my foot elevated, don’t put a lot of pressure on it & most importantly take A LOT of painkillers to help.

It’s now Day 3 since the accident & my foot is still pretty swollen. I took the bandage I had on off this morning to let my foot breathe a little bit before putting it back on & was shocked at all the bruises. I have killer bruises, it hurts like a bitch & I’m running out of painkillers!

So there you have it, my week from hell. Thankfully I’ve stopped vomiting but my braincells are starting to dribble out my ears from way too much daytime TV *sigh* & I now have to figure out how the hell am I going to manage hobbling to work tomorrow afternoon & back again!
