MacBook Pro

2016 will forever be known as the year of the blog breakdown.

Thirteen years of blogging. Thirteen years of loving my blog. Thirteen years of building up the name “ananyah” and thirteen years of hard work.
In the thirteen years of blogging under “ananyah”, I’ve had some incredible ups and some not so great downs. I find myself sat at my desk, forcing myself to write. Just write anything. It doesn’t matter how good or how bad. Nothing comes out.
I’m then distracted by life. Life gets in the way. But surely my blog is an extension of my life? I go out, I explore, I attempt. I have good intentions. I say to myself that I will write about this but the words never transpire.
I want to do better. I want to be better but when you work 8 hours a day in the IT industry with 4 monitors staring at you constantly, you just want to escape. The last thing you want to do is come home at night and spend even longer in front of your computer.
I’ve taken almost three months out of blogging, a combination of needing a break, writers block and my full time job taking up a lot of my time. I needed the break to realise that I didn’t want to give up blogging. I love blogging, the opportunities that I’ve had and the people that I’ve met
& I need to find a way to battle through it all.
The time away has enabled me to figure out where to go from here and inject some new life into the blog with a new found passion for blogging all over again.
Keep an eye out over the next week for new posts because I’m back…..

Edinburgh Zoo Nights

Shopping with StreetHub

On the run up to Christmas, I made the effort NOT to go shopping on the high street for the bulk of my gifts. I hate the mass crowds, pushing, shoving and fighting over the best items on the…
