I was born Michelle on April Fools Day in 1982 but ended up getting called Micha, Mesho or Mimi by friends. I have a mom, a dad, a brother, a soon to be sister-in-law, a doggy & the most wonderful best friends any girl could ask for. When I was a small kid, I always got mistaken for a boy as my mom had a habit of forcing me to have boy cut hair not to mention favouring Action Men over Barbies. I loved nothing better than riding my little BMX bike which subsequently meant that the Accident & Emergency Department in the local hospital knew me by name. Thankfully I’m now a fully fledged girl, boobs & all… minus the addiction to all things pink!

My parents are from the UK, so I guess that technically makes me British (or Scottish, if you want to be technical). I was raised in Singapore and Kuwait, resulting in having a messed up accent and having no clue where to call “home”. No one normally knows where I’m from when they talk to me, within a nano-second you hear a mix between american, scottish and english. Yes, I’m aware that I’m rather weird, but that’s the best bit about being me

1. When I was a toddler, I broke my nose after falling over

2. My parent’s have been married for more than 30 years & when the time comes, I want to have a marriage like their’s <3

3. When I was 4, my dad bought me a Yorkshire Terrier puppy called Misty, she died in 2003 and I cried my eyes out. Her doggy husband was my grandmother’s Yorkshire Terrier dog called Rusty who died in 2001 and they had a puppy in the late 80′s called Smokey who got ran over by a car in 2004. In 2006, my mom bought my grandfather a Yorkshire Terrier puppy & he named him Bobby (I call him Chewy or Doggy Dog). He is the cutest thing alive, he was born with liver problems & needs to be medicated for the rest of his doggy life. I blog about him *alot*

4. I’m climbed up the ladders of an Oil Tanker in the middle of the Ocean & sailed on some ranging from sleeping in a drawer when I was a newborn to bunk beds & partaking in fire drills

5. I loved swimming when I was a kid, I stopped when I was 18 and sometimes yern to jump back into the deep end

6. I grow my nails, then bite them off, then grow them again… a never ending circle!

7. I haven’t worn a skirt or dress since I was 19, I’m rebelling against them due to having to wear them all the time at school

8. I’ve been Privately educated since I was 9 & no I don’t talk like the Queen but I do have a messed up accent. I even did a 2 year stint at Boarding School in England, I had to share a bedroom with 5 other girls & hated every day of it!

9. I’ve snorkled in the Great Barrier Reef in Australia & didn’t get eaten by sharks

10. I learnt Mandarin Chinese while living in Singapore, I’ve now forgotten the majority of it

11. I can converse in Arabic although I understand more than I can speak

12. I wanted to travel the world & be a Hotel Manager after watching the movie Dunston Checks In but when crunch time came, I choose Computing

13. I wanted to go to University in the States but ended up coming back to the UK instead and graduated from University in Aberdeen in 2006, then moved back to my “original” home town to do my Masters

14. I am addicted to cupcakes & drink Diet Coke like it’s going out of fashion

15. I’ve ate crocodile, kangaroo, frog’s legs, shark, abalone & a few other random dishes

16. I love watching French Movies & think Jean-Pierre Jeunet is a genius!

17. When I’m bored, I end up programming, satisfying the geek in me
