I was asked to review VoucherHub a few weeks ago but never really put it to use until I needed to buy new clothes for work. So what is VoucherHub? It is a website listing hundred’s of discount vouchers for a variety of well known brands such as Debenhams, Dominos, GAME, ASOS & Pizza Express.
How does it work?
STEP 1: Make a note of the online store you are buying something from e.g: amazon
STEP 2: Visit VoucherHub.com
STEP 3: Enter the address from step 1 into the search box and press the “Search” button
STEP 4: You should now be presented with any vouchers available for that shop. Make a note of them.
STEP 5: Click on the voucher to visit the shop and proceed to enter your voucher code when asked at checkout.
With any luck you should now have a great discount or bonus!
Check the How-To Video:
Putting it to good use:
As I said previously, I needed to buy some new work clothes. I decided to try out ASOS as I’ve heard a lot of good things about it. I purchased a blouse, a cardigan, some trousers & some hot shoes. The best bit? Getting 10% off everything by using a voucher from VoucherHub. The website is incredibly easy to use, the design is great & who doesn’t want to grab a bargain? From now on whenever I do online shopping, I’m going to use VoucherHub to check for any discounts

I was sent a pair of North Face Hedgehog for Men from FitnessFootwear thanks to FuelMyBlog a few weeks ago for my Dad to try out. My dad goes through trainers like crazy but he never really buys himself any so when the chance came up to test these, I snapped it up.
They were delivered a few days before he arrived over from Paris & he decided to put them on to walk Doggy Dog all the way from the house to the beach (crazy distance by foot, I sure as hell wouldn’t do it!). As it was the first time wearing a pair of shoes, I was kinda worried that he may end up with blisters or they hurt his feet due to the fact they are new & haven’t had the chance to get used to his feet. But, the results were suprising.
My dad wore them walking for hours and said they were really comfy, great for running & walking in. He ran around the beach with the dog & told me that they were very light weight and not heavy, they gave great support for his insoles and even though it was raining at times, his feet were always dry and able to breathe (which is good for people with cheesy feet LOL)
The only bad thing he had to say about the trainers was that when he tied the laces, they kept falling out after a while & he had to keep re-tying. My mom says the reason for this is because he ties his laces in bunny ears rather than the “proper way” & he doesn’t double tie them lol but other than that, he loves them & has worn them pretty much every day since (minus when at work!).
So there you have it, a happy dad! The North Face Hedgehog trainers are £76.45 & come in a range of different colors. You can buy them on the FitnessFootwear online store & also read the FitnessFootwear Blog for all the latest sports and outdoor shoes news, reviews and previews.
& here is my dad modelling the trainers, complete with Doggy Dog jumping into the shot LOL

I have really long thick hair & every time I brush or wash it, clumps of hair fall out which then ends up clogging up the shower & bath plug holes bugging my parents as well as me when I end up standing in tons of water because the sinks are clogged with my hair.
I was given the chance to review Turbo Snake & snapped it up just to shut my parents up LOL. When it arrived it didn’t look like much, a wire with some velcro on the end was all I saw. Instantly I was a little skeptical as to if it would actually work but I was suprised! With the help of my trusty sidekick (see; Mother) we managed to pull out tons of hair & junk. This instantly made a difference to how the water flowed after draining it. I’d highly recommend getting it rather than expensive chemical liquids which don’t really work!
So how do you actually use it?
The design makes it so easy to use, you just glide the Turbo Snake down the drain, twirl it then slowly pull it out. The specially designed head grabs and locks on to hair to clear the drain instantly. The flexible design easily maneuvers down the drain doing all the hard work for you without the need to remove the drain stopper.
The Turbo Snake set includes the Large Turbo Snake, Small Turbo Snake, and Peel and Stick Storage Hook. It is available for £9.99 from JML DIRECT.

A while ago I was given the opportunity to purchase several items from a pet supply website. Due to a crazy time period at work (shift work. Boo!) and the fact my brother just got married, I’ve only now been able to properly write this review of Nutrecare.
As you all know, I have a dog nicknamed Doggy Dog (or Chewy), what you may of not known is that when he was born nearly 4 years ago, he was gravely ill, always in the vets and later diagnosed with having a Portosystemic Shunt in his liver. This is caused by the failure of the fetal circulatory system of the liver to change. Therefore, blood from the intestines only partly goes through the liver, and the rest mixes into general circulation. Bad Toxins are then not cleared by the liver but instead put into the blood stream which makes him gravely ill.
So when this opportunity came along, I snapped it up. Because of his condition he is only allowed certain foods & on medication the rest of his life. It gets a little boring after time being on the same food stuff. Although, every so often he gets rice, scrambled egg, doggy milk, cottage cheese, plain biscuits & other little treats, but only one’s which have been approved by his Vet.
The website itself was extremely easy to use, photos and explanations of the different products especially loved the fact that it gave you advice about what each foodstuff is good for (eg dogs with shunts, allergies etc). Not only do they sell dog food but also toys, prescription meds, beds, snacks, accessories for a variety of different pets.
I decided to purchase a few little snacks as well as a ball which you filled with biscuits to make eating fun. I also purchased a doggy car harness in which you can strap the dog to a seat belt and have them sitting in the car without jumping everywhere, perfect for doggy holidays (Doggy Dog is living it up in Paris at the moment).
When the package came a few days after ordering, I opened the doggy treats right away to see how his little belly coped with them. He instantly fell in love with the Mini Bones, so much so that when I left the open packet on the table, little piggy dog decided to jump on the table, grab the bag and demolish 10 of them in one go!! Needless to say, I wasn’t a happy bunny & he was put into his naughty box for an hour!
But hey, at least they went down well, with no side effects!
With the harness, it’s a tad bit too tight on him but we got it to work, he now sits in the back seat of the car, falls asleep on his little blanket & my parents used it on him when they travelled from Glasgow to Paris at the weekend. He was good as gold. Without the harness, he could of had to be in a cage the entire journey. It’s a great invention & something we will get great use out of! It’s kinda like strapping a toddler into a car seat at times though, but, I do think Doggy Dog thinks he’s human at times LOL
Doggy Dog didn’t really take to the ball, basically it’s a giant purple ball where you put their doggy biscuits & when they roll it around, the biscuits are supposed to pop out. The thing is, Doggy Dog isn’t one for playing fetch or rolling balls around. However, when my brother’s dog Devil Dog came around, he instantly set eyes on this toy, threw it around the living room like a crazy person & was enjoying every minute on it. It now has a new home where it will be welcomed with open bellies!
Nutrecare’s Website is very well laid out, clean cut & split into various sections. They also have a section of the latest special offers & latest products they have along with sending you out newsletters on the latest offerings. I would highly recommend them & so would Doggy Dog after all those treats he gobbled!
To get more information about them you can join them on facebook or follow them on twitter.

A few weeks ago I got a package sent to me from JML with silver & caramel EZ Combs to test out on my hair. I remember seeing an advert on the shopping channel about these & my mom telling me I should get them to keep my hair tidy at work but I wasn’t so sure about them. When the chance came to test them out for free, I couldn’t wait!
My hair is naturally thick, long & wavy… some days it’s nice & pretty, the next it’s a big messy ball of fluff only good for tying up in a ponytail. It gets annoying at times but I got used to it after all these years!
So then, I get sent the EZ Combs. With one clip you can try 8 different up-do’s which are not only instant but easy to use, as well as being comfortable on your scalp! The website states:
Whether your hair is long, short, thick, thin, curly or in cornrows, the comfortable design gives you the flexibility to create dozens of different looks. And because of the fine beaded detail, Ez Combs mean you can add a touch of sparkle to any outfit, casual or formal! Unlike claw clips and hair bobbles, Ez Combs lays flat and conform to the curve of the head. Leave it in when you take a nap, and you’ll sleep comfortably and wake with your hair still in place!
* Twin pack black and sandalwood or bronze and silver
* Soft and comfortable
* Works for all hair types
* Holds hair firmly in place
* Includes a step-by-step styling guide
* Also available in twin-pack bronze and silver
Try these amazing looks
1. Classic
2. Up-do
3. Fountain effect
4. Butterfly twist
5. Pony tail
6. Pony tail butterfly twist
7. French twist
8. French butterfly twist
When it was time to try them I was a little confused about what to do, it looked rather tricky & I was scared to stretch the beads incase I broke them but after a few tries, you realise that these babies are so flexible you can stretch them without the need to be scared of breaking them. This is good for people with really thick hair like myself!
I admit that I was useless when trying them out for the first time on myself & needed backup from my mom and she was the one who put my hair up in all the different styles (reminding me of being a little kid again lmao!). At first it was hard to stretch them wide enough to fit all my hair but after a while we were doing it no problem & it looked great!
Since then, I’ve managed to actually use them myself without any help, this may be because they have stretched a little and been broken in. As I’m typing this I am using the caramel comb in a fountain effect to keep my lump of fluff all need at tidy
The first disaster try:
The follow up ones that were pretty nice:
The EZ Combs are £14.99 for two combs which come in either Black/Sandalwood and Brown/Silver. For more info and to buy your own EZ Combs just visit the JML Website

Chocolate. One of the best inventions in the whole wide world. Everything about it is awesome, except the fact that as soon as I look at a bar, I instantly put on tons of weight. Nevertheless, there is no way I could give the bad boy up & frankly, who on earth could blame me?
When the opportunity to taste test several types of chocolate from Chocolate & Love came up, I just couldn’t say no… for the good of man-kind I had to do it, yes sir!
I was sent a package with 5 different types of Chocolate, I was instantly giddy from the excitment or erm… hard task of actually having to sit down & eat all this chocolate. Suprisingly, my mom nominated herself as a 2nd opinion… I wonder why!
So now the hard work started….
Filthy Rich- Made with premium cocoa from the Dominican Republic and Peru along with cane sugar from South America and a hint of vanilla, this bar of 71% organic extra dark chocolate is very intense. The aftertaste it left in our mouths was great, it was very smooth on your palette & this is coming from someone who has never really loved dark chocolate. From dark chocolate I’ve tasted before, they are usually very bitter which this was not & had to be one of my favourites from all I tried. Orange Mantra- A bar of 65% dark chocolate combined with orange extract from cold pressing ripe peels in Italy giving the Orange Mantra a wonderful fresh orange flavour & smell. When we unwrapped this bar from it’s packaging, we were hit by the intense orange scent, which I love. The texture was very smooth, tasted amazing with the orange & was not at all bitter which made it a big thumbs up in my books.
Chocolate Tree Raspberry- This 74% organic extra dark chocolate is topped with dried raspberry pieces and handmade in Edinburgh. Unfortunately, I disliked this bar because of the sourness of the raspberries mixed with the bitterness of the chocolate. Both of us could only eat a few slices before putting it down. It’s the first time I’ve never finished chocolate & that’s sad because I tried so hard to like it.
Crushed Diamonds- 55% dark chocolate mixed with cocoa beans from Peru which are roasted & broken into small nibs giving it a crunchy texture. This was by far, my favourite chocolate bar I tried, once again the texture of the chocolate was great, the cocoa nibs an added bonus. The chocolate wasn’t bitter & a great idea for the future would be if the nibs came in different flavours such as orange & mint.
Pacari Chocolate Covered Guava- The title says it all, dried guava covered in dark chocolate. This was very suprising, I’ve never really tried Guava before & this was amazing! The mixture between the bitter dark chocolate & the sweet guava worked, complimenting eachother. Funnily enough, it was a little like eating a more exotic type of chocolate raisins & are a good size for snacking on.
So that was that…. Crushed Diamonds and Pacari Chocolate Covered Guava were my two favourites & would recommend them to anyone and everyone, especially dark chocolate n00bs! But… my tasting session didn’t end there. I decided that since I had tons of great quality chocolate, what better way than to combine it with something else I love; baking. I then created Dark Chocolate Cupcakes with Dark Chocolate Frosting using a mixture of all the chocolate’s I tried then topped them with a square of Orange Mantra. I gave some to my mom & then took them into work for the guys I work with who loved them to bits & are now dying for more!

I was asked a few weeks ago by FuelMyBlog if I’d be willing to review a customized photo printing company MyPrinting and in return given my choice of product to test & report back on. As many of you know, I love taking photos, I have so many of them (in fact I have over 1GB still to process!) so I jumped at the chance to do this. I opted for the canvas print and had the hard task of picking what photograph to get printed. Since getting our house renovated, I haven’t had the chance of decorating my walls yet so thought that this would be a good start. I finally decided on picking a photo of Doggy Dog wearing sunglasses because the colors matched my bedroom & I have this weird fascination (or OCD?) with color co-ordinating everything LOL
To start, you upload the photo that you want to use & a preview screen will appear showing you what your customized item will look like on the wall. I really liked this idea as it gave you an idea of what you would be getting. The website overall is very simplistic & easy to use, all the information you could possibly want is given to you as well as more in-depth knowledge into the various products & how they are made.
However, I did face one problem which I hope MyPrinting will address. While choosing the photo to upload (600×481 pixels), then selecting the size of canvas I wanted, a problem arose. I got a pop-up screen warning me that the quality of my chosen photo is “not sufficient to create a high quality product” and to either choose a smaller sized canvas or upload a larger sized image. MyPrinting do not give you any information on this, which I feel would have been better. For those who upload low quality images, a possible fix on the website would be to tell clients what is the best sizes to upload. This would then let the client know what the best size for the highest quality product would be.
Excluding that small problem I had, I ignored the pop-up screen & thought I would chance it. I choose the 40 x 30 landscape canvas and when my package arrived from Germany a few days later, I was not dissapointed. The quality of the canvas was brillant even with the warning given to me on the website. Wooden pieces were included so that if needed at a later point in time I could tighten the canvas if needed. These instructions however, were in German, and even though there are pictures supporting the written words, it would have been more ideal if they were in English.
I would highly recommend MyPrinting and infact will be ordering another canvas to balance my room off (yes, another OCD I have! I like even numbers LOL). The best bit is, readers of my blog can get a discount if they wish to purchase anything from the MyPrinting website for a limited time.
Until the 30th of April, you lot (yes YOU!) can get 15% off Photo Books, Canvases and Panel Prints (Acrylic, Aluminium, Foam-Core) using the Voucher Code: FMB-RDR-15. Please note that the discount does not include delivery costs
Here are photos of the end product, it looks great & now the hardest part is choosing which wall to hang it up on!
Last Night, I went to a private screening of Kick-Ass before it’s UK Public Release. I’ve never been the hugest fan of Nicolas Cage so didn’t know what to expect before going but from the trailer, it looked hilarious & how could I refuse seeing a comic book movie? *geek*
Created by Glaswegian Mark Millar & Directed by Matthew Vaughn of Stardust fame, Kick-Ass tells the story of Dave Lizewski, a geeky teenage comic book fan who wonders why no one has ever decided to come real life superhero’s. He then creates his alter-ego Kick-Ass donning a green & yellow wetsuit, however, he soon discovers the answer to his question; being a superhero without powers hurts as he realizes when he was beaten & stabbed during his first “mission”.
Kick-Ass doesn’t give up & after healing from his injuries; he becomes a phenomenon after footage of his “mission” is spread all over the Internet & News networks. In the mist of his fame, he soon discovers that he is not the only superhero out there; a crime fighting duo by the names of Big Daddy & Hit Girl have been slowly working on taking down the criminal empire of a local mobster Frank D’Amico who Big Daddy blames as ruining his career & killing his wife.
He’s soon thrown into the world of bullets, blood & killing alongside Big Daddy & Hit Girl taking on Frank’s son, Chris, now reborn as Kick-Ass’s arch enemy, Red Mist staging the set for an ultimate finale between good & evil forcing Kick-Ass to live up to his name.
Before the movie started 30 mins later than schedule, a film crew was inside the theatre, then all of a sudden a guy stood infront of the crowd announcing that Mark Millar himself, Aaron Johnson & Christopher Mintz-Plasse (McLovin!) were there to participate in a Q&A Session, which was amazing! (as well as the free popcorn!) They answered questions from certain members of the audience and dealt with microphone’s that kept cutting out on them LOL
As good as Dave Lizewski (Kick-Ass) is in the movie, telling the story from his perspective making you relate to him; relating to those of an opposite sex at high school, the different social groups & how trying (and becoming) a superhero changed his life, he couldn’t of carried it off without the backup of Big Daddy (Nicolas Cage) and Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz) who are known as the “real deal superhero’s” complete with all the weapons & gadgets you could ever imagine.
As I said before, I’ve never been the greatest Nicolas Cage fan but he surprised me. He was brillant in the same, often impersonating Adam West from Batman at times, which was genius. The only gripe I could have is that we don’t see Big Daddy enough in the movie.
To me, the main star of the movie was Hit-Girl (Chloe Moretz). Sure there has been a lot of negative press about her within the movie because she is a minor and using words like “c*nt”, but her character works on so many levels! She is one actress to watch, it will be interesting to see what she does next. There are so many Kill Bill elements within her character and it shocks you to see her be so violent at times (especially since this is a 15 rating in the UK & she’s too young to actually see it herself) but then you turn around and laugh your head off. Her action scenes are the best by far & she makes Kick-Ass the success that it is.
In certain scenes within the movie, it cuts into animated artwork by John Romita Jr that backs up the Kill Bill elements but as this is a comic book movie, it flows well & just gives you an added experience into the world of comics & who better than Mark Millar. But unlike Kill Bill, during the action scenes, it does not switch to Anime & chooses to stay in live action. The accompanying soundtrack is sometimes bizarre but they work surprisingly and piece together what is happening on screen well.
The movie is non-stop fun from start to finish & everyone laughed at the right bits, jumped at surprise killing scenes & clapped at the end of the movie. At the end, it felt like you watched the characters grow & bonded with them, yearning to see what they’d do next & I’m hoping we will see more of them in the sequel, which is rumoured to be happening.
Kick-Ass has been one of the most anticipated comic book movies this year, which you can tell if you walk down the streets & see the amount of advertising showcased. Did I love it? Yes. Was it worth it? Yes. Will I watch it again? Yes. Kick-Ass is funny, action packed & extremely entertaining.
Kick-Ass opens on 26th March in the UK & on April 12th in the US/Canada. I highly recommend you see it, as they say in the movie…
Ananyah is the alter ego of Michelle, who grew up in Singapore and Kuwait but is technically Scottish even if the accent isn't there! She now divides her time between Glasgow & Paris and could quite happily eat herself to death with macarons à la pistache, cupcakes, diet coke, starbucks & tarte aux fraise <3
Working in the IT Industry, she likes to think of herself as a geekette with a handbag fetish along with being addicted to taking the most random photos, cooking her ass off & drooling over shiny gadgets *swoon*
