Adele has scooped the Critics Choice Brit Award for the artist most likely to be big in 2008. The singer picks up a Brit Award before even bringing out a full single- her recent track Hometown Glory was only limited edition. Adele is likely to be top of many ‘Tips For 08’ lists and will release her debut album early next year along with the single Chasing Pavements. UK Music Guru’s have stated that she is the new Amy Winehouse and has Lily Allen amongst her fans. Her debut album, 19, will be released on January 28th 2008.

The next artist to arouse hype is David Jordan, a future soul sensation with his rocked-out R&B, his searing electric soul with sassy-male falsetto vocals, his fairly straight take on well-produced Lenny Kravitz/Seal-style guitar-funk-pop. His music is very unusual mixture of different genre’s and you’ll either love him or hate him. His debut album, Set the mood, was released on November 5th 2007 but he is still much of an unknown, until now.
Check out this single ‘Move On’, from his debut album
It was so hard trying to fit a reasonable size of songs into my OST after being tagged by [Swair]. I love hundred’s of songs and each have a different memory for me, but I think 25 is enough lol
As you can tell most are R&B and that’s because it’s my favourite genre of music since I was a little kid and I grew out of my Jason Donovan phase, so I hope you enjoy the soundtrack to my life, and I am 25 so a song for every year of my life lol

Starbucks Toffee Nut Frappuccino blended coffee is a rich and buttery beverage of sweet toffee and the warm flavors of toasted nuts, blended with coffee and ice and topped with whipped cream and toffee flavored sprinkles. This festive beverage is topped with whipped cream and toffee flavored sprinkles for a handcrafted touch.
This is my favourite drink of the moment and also comes in a latte for something hot on those cold winter days, like erm all the time since it’s around 5 degrees these days *sniffles*
The first of three movies based on the bestselling Philip Pullman novels, The Golden Compass revolves around a young girl, Lyra, who travels to the far north to save her best friend who was taken by Gobblers. Along the way she encounters shape-shifting creatures, witches, the king of the egyptains, a giant polar bear who talks and a variety of otherworldly characters in parallel universes.
The movie overall was really good, the graphics and settings were amazing! I jumped outta my seat a few times during some animal fight scenes and the young actress who plays Lyra looks totally like Izzie from Grey’s Anatomy! The movie in the US and UK has caused religious controversay as Catholic leaders have said that it promotes atheism but from watching it, there was no religious portrayal of any kind and I don’t get what all the fuss was about.
The movie is great for all ages, after leaving the movie my friend & I were in the elevator and a tiny boy (maybe 5 or 6) told his mom that he wanted to dress up as the good polar bear which was totally adorable!

Every other day, I go downstairs from my apartment and enter the little baqala (tiny little shop selling newspapers, drinks, chocolate… you get my drift) and I always purchase the same 3 things
1. Diet Coke
2. Mal6eezers
3. Newspaper
After a week or so, they started remembering my face and chatted with me. I used to confuse them in the beginning as everything I went to pay, they’d try and put things in a bag for me to carry and I always replied “No Need”, I later had to explain I just lived upstairs and I’d be okay carrying the things.
As time went by, this old man (Malik) started chatting with me more and more, I get some entertainment before going back to my Diet Coke addiction!
One Day, I decided to change my order around and got Diet Pepsi and a magazine. Malik was all confused and asked “What about your chocolate? What about the Coke? No Newspaper today?” and I just laughed! I can’t remember the last time I bought mal6eezers but I change between Coke and Pepsi just to add to the confusion
Now I think his cousin or brother or another family member is helping out in the baqala and now he recognizes me all the time and even grabs my Diet Coke for me! Today he actually spoke to me asking how I was and what am doing and asked where I was from, damnit even the little baqala dude laughs when I say I’m Scottish!
It’s pretty funny, but just imagine how much money they are getting outta me for my addiction!

Isn’t it so cute? It’s just under a meter tall and sits in my living room window sill.. funny thing is, if I have my apartment lights on you can see my tree from the street so any stalker person nearby will know where I live now if they keep a look out for Santa’s little head lol
I still have to get gifts for my family, I hate that part cause I never know what to buy for them, they have near enough everything and whenever I ask, they just say “oh nothing!”.
I on the other hand, have an A4 page list of things I want, but that’s just me… I want everything I can’t have!

Yesterday afternoon, I was pretty bored after friends that were visiting from Aberdeen left, so I decided to go for a walk near my apartment and decided to grab my camera and take some shots. The Glasgow Winter Festival is on right now around George Square until the beginning of the New Year. There is a Festive Market selling Arts & Crafts, Candy, Food amongst other things and an Ice Rink that is purpose built every year at this time, open from 10am til 10pm and a some amusement rides for kids & teenagers. It was a fun watching the faces of little kids seeing the Xmas Tree, going on the rides, eating too much candy, trying to skate on the ice and then getting a present from Santa!
Ananyah is the alter ego of Michelle, who grew up in Singapore and Kuwait but is technically Scottish even if the accent isn't there! She now divides her time between Glasgow & Paris and could quite happily eat herself to death with macarons à la pistache, cupcakes, diet coke, starbucks & tarte aux fraise <3
Working in the IT Industry, she likes to think of herself as a geekette with a handbag fetish along with being addicted to taking the most random photos, cooking her ass off & drooling over shiny gadgets *swoon*
