Huge news around ananyah.COM, I’ve been asked to be part of the exclusive BBC Good Food Show Blogger Community which means a lot of exciting things to come for this blog.
I will be at the BBC Good Food Show in October (which I normally go to anyway!) and will blog about the entire event from an “insiders” view. I can’t divulged everything yet but let’s just say, I’m rather excited at what’s ahead.
In the mean time, what I can reveal is that I’m going to be judging the hunt to find Glasgow’s Best Deli 2013 alongside Steve Clark (Director of BBC GFS Show) , Katy Truss (Manager of The Producers Village at the BBC GFS) as well as other exclusive bloggers.
The search is now on for Glasgow’s Best Deli 2013.
The BBC Good Food Show team are on the hunt for the best deli in Glasgow, following a successful launch for the scheme in Birmingham earlier in 2013. The winner will receive a stand at the BBC Good Food Show Scotland which runs at the SECC, Glasgow from 18 – 20 October to publicize their business to thousands of food loving visitors.
Katy Truss, Founder Fabulous Food Finds, and judge of Glasgows Best Deli, says “This is such an exciting opportunity for the delis and farmshops in Glasgow. Scotland has such an amazing larder and the small producer scene is really booming, and we can’t wait to get out into the streets and see what Glasgow has to offer. It’s bound to be delicious!”
Farm shops and delis can be nominated by their customers and fans. Alternatively they can nominate themselves. Judges will be looking for the following:
- Range of international and local produce
- Quality of produce
- Knowledge of providence of produce
- Customer service
To apply please visit:Glasgow’s Best Deli 2013 Entry Page
Deadline for applications is 5th September. Winner will be announced on 26th September
So if you’re in Glasgow, where is your favourite Deli? Let me know so I can check it out!
